I've decided to put the game on hold until I can drive up enough interest in the game. It's been weeks and we haven't seen much interest put forth despite the continued advertising. It sucks, but that's the way RP seems to be going as of late. It's very difficult to start a new game. All applications already submitted will remain active in the game when/if we can drive up more interest.

I'm DCJ and I'm bringing in Theodore Nott

Theo wants to major in Magical Theory, but he might be drawn to the Maths classes too, for fun. He's living in Bradley Hall and working at Rosalie's Apothecary.

Theo isn't (never was) a Purist and with his dad in Akaban and his move to the US he feels like he can be himself a little more than he did in Hogwarts, but it'll take him some time to adjust. He's a bit introverted and quiet but he can be more forthcoming if he's spoken to.

He suffers with PTSD from events before and during the war, manifesting in nightmares, sleepwalking, hypervigilance, dissociation, etc, but he's on a lot of potions to try and help; sorry if you end up rooming with him!

He's scared of fire, he loves thestrals, he's a polyglot, he's never been in a relationship and his owl is a psychopath.

I've got some wanted lines for him in his profile including the roomie, the psuedo sister, the betrothed and the romantic interest. Plotwise, I'd like to get him out and being a bit more social, maybe getting him into trouble after having a drink, someone to introduce him to the maths classes, interaction with Muggleborns, interactions with old schoolmates, making Ashwinder Eggs for someone, thestral appreciation, and if there's any plot hole he could fill feel free to talk to me about it!


I'm in the UK so I'm on GMT but I tend to keep late hours. My health is pretty bad atm with chronic migraines and I've just had a procedure done with an allergic reaction to the lidocaine and bad stuff so I'm a bit sore rn, but I'll do my best to get involved.

Alright guys! I was going to post this on Wednesday but illness waits for no one and it was delayed until today. Originally I had intended to open the game for play on the 1st of April. However, the application process has been a bit slow and we don't have a whole lot of characters. That being said, I'm going to leave it up to you. We can do one of two things:

1 | We can open the game as per originally planned. The dates will move forward as we go starting from September 1st onward. As I mentioned in the FAQ's I'll be keeping you updated on the dates every week so it's easy for you to follow along. If we open up, it is going to be understandably low key as there are only so many of us who can post.

2 | We can hold off for a few more weeks before opening the game officially in order to give others the opportunity to apply and join the group. I realize this is a long time to wait, however, this doesn't mean we have to hold off on our characters interaction. Gdocs and Email threads completed during this time are still legit and can be added to the main community in log form once we officially open.

I'm alright with either option, so I'd like to hear from the rest of you before I completely decide on the matter. FURTHERMORE, since I live outside of the United States, AIM has made my life a little more difficult by not offering me access to it anymore. Since this is how I usually communicate with the members of the community, I've created a server on Discord, which includes the group chat for UMT. I know it's a pain if you don't already know how to use discord, but it will make communication between players much, much easier if you create your own username. You may simply use the online base instead of downloading the platform onto your computer or phone, but for some this may be easier. You can use the link here to join the UMT server.

This is Genevieve Desrosiers, a polite but socially awkward lass hailing from a small commune in France. Her family is deep into making wine and champagne, fairly well known for it. Before the war, her mother made a well-received magically imbued champagne of different sorts but that's suddenly gone from the market so buy up those bottles now before the collector's hike the price. ;D

She's always been sort of socially isolated and spoiled, but seriously drilled with "manners matter." Her mother and brother disappeared during the war while helping refugees disappear to France. Since then, her father has become pretty anti-magic and has been taking it out on her via the frostiest shoulder you've ever met in your life. She's been told not to come home from UMT if she wants to continue to have an allowance and courses paid for.

Poor thing is adrift in the sea of adulthood with no idea how to cope. Plz send help.

Were still about ten days out from opening the game, but I'm going to introduce my characters anyway. Saves having to do it while trying to get the game going ♥ I'm Dani and I've currently got three. I'll add the fourth one once I finish his app. New One Added!!!

Alexandra Miller | eyesofosiris | She goes by Lexi since it isn't so much of a mouthful. She's in her third year, having waited a year before joining her sister at school, and she's in the Cursebreaking Training Program. If you couldn't tell by her journal name, she has a deep love for ancient Egyptian culture and it is her focus in the program. When it comes to her personality, Lexi is about as opposite from her twin as she can be. While Demi is all about connections and social climbing, Lexi has a hard time making friends and prefers to keep to herself. Being an army brat, she moved around a lot as a child, which ultimately led her to decide that there wasn't a point in making new friends since she left them all behind anyway.

Adrian Pucey | indyforshort | Adrian is in his fourth year, studying Anthropology. He's Pureblood British/French high society, which means he has impeccable manners and could charm the panties off a nun if he set himself to it. His family owns an Antiquities Company ... which is more interesting than it sounds. His role in it? Think Indiana Jones acquiring items for the Museum ... though most of the time a lot less dangerous and exciting. Of course, with the pressure from his Father to take over the business, Adrian was having a hard time of it. Deciding that he wasn't ready for the responsibility he sold his father on the idea of attending UMT in order to prepare himself more. Ultimately, he was buying himself some time free from under his Father's thumb.

Marcus Flint | styleinmotion | Marcus Flint. I'm sure it came as no surprise to anyone that he chose to pursue Quidditch as a career. After Hogwarts he spent several years climbing up the ranks of the Falcons, but his dreams were ended by a particularly nasty accident involving a tight space and a bludger. With a torn rotator cuff, he was sidelined in order to heal but the recovery time was too long to go without him and he was replaced in the starting line. Unable to stand around and watch someone else live his dream, he took the job offer at UMT and hasn't looked back. He's the coach/trainer for the Phi Alpha Psi Quidditch team and he takes his job very seriously. If you're on the team prepare to work your ass off.

Harry Potter | _notahero_ | Harry Potter. You all know his backstory so there's no point in going through it step by step. If you're really interested in a run down, there is a link in his application for his obnoxiously long history that wouldn't fit in the post. He basically turned down the offer from Kingsley because he wanted to escape the media's eye and stop feeling like everyone was watching his every move. He's using this as an escape and is not at all above admitting it.
